MRAI - Metal Recycling Association of India

Metal Recycling Association of India (MRAI) is a National Association which represents India’s Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals recycling industry. The association has its head office in Mumbai.

  • Promote metals recycling within India.

  • Works with International Organizations such as Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) based in Belgium or other National Associations such as Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) based in USA.

  • MRAI promotes public awareness of the value and importance of recycling along with the positive environmental benefits derived from metals recycling.

  • It advocates on behalf of the industry before the Indian Government (Ministry of Environment and Forests, Steel Ministry, DGFT, State Pollution Control Boards, Port Authorities and others) to help ensure the free and fair trade of Metal Scraps.

  • The association liaises with various Indian Government authorities and associations.
