Global Tin Market Reports Deficit

The global tin market recorded a deficit of 9.1 kilo tonnes from January 2017 to November 2017. As per the reports in the media refined tin production increased by 19 kilo tonne in the period as compared to the corresponding period in 2016. Further, production of refined tin in Asia was higher by 20.3 kilo tonne during the period. The global demand for the metal from January to November 2017 was reported at 343.7 kilo tonne, which was lower by 1.8 per cent compared to same period in 2016. In November 2017, refined tin production was reported at 29.8 kilo tonne and consumption at 31 kilo tonne.
